Sixteen years ago, we started a new type of architectural firm.
Our vision was to create a firm that shared information, partnered with other professionals, and challenged the practices of yesterday's architects. This new type of firm, we hoped, would embrace people and communities more than it would bricks and mortar.
With this working model, we embarked on a mission to hire the best people. We surrounded ourselves with dedicated business partners, and built a loyal client base brick-by-brick. To this day, we remain different...and are proud of that.
Our roots are in school architecture, and we've learned how natural lighting, improved ventilation, colored surfaces, and varied textures can all work in concert to stimulate young minds. It's our hope that the schools we design will ultimately produce smarter students, and thus, a better society.
Along the way, our school work began to draw interest from park districts, police stations, city halls, community centers, and public libraries, among others. Today, we've since evolved from a school architect into a "community" architect. We take great pride in what we do for a living: we design public spaces that enhance the sense of belonging and community.
We welcome your interest in our firm, and look forward to your involvement with us as your partner.
