Education

When Eisenhower Cooperative, a 10-school-district consortium of special education departments needed more learning space, Cook County School District 130 approached their Architect of Record-- Gilfillan Callahan Nelson Architects--about donating some land on its Nathan Hale Primary School property in Crestwood for a possible addition.

Designers responded to the challenge by creating an eight-classroom, 36,400 square-foot school addition to Nathan Hale specifically for Eisenhower Cooperative. The school addition is complete with secure entry and courtyard, multi-purpose gymnasium, padded intervention room, and a 75-person large conference room.

Construction for the Eisenhower Cooperative was completed in April 2009.
